During World War II, the leaders of the Ustase Organization, who were in the midst of a campaign to get rid of Croats and Serbs, Jews as well as Romans, took advantage of pure brutality to clear the land.
A woman named Dara (Biljana Cekic) is a 10 year old Serbian girl who keeps her family close as they march towards the Jasenovac concentration camp for the final sorting.
During her punishing experience, Dara was separated from her family, left behind to care for her 2-year-old brother Budo, enticing him to find a way to provide the child with food and comfort.
While she experienced kindness on the part of others, Dara also witnessed the cruelty of Croatian camp officials who lived to kill innocent people.
Somewhere nearby, Dara’s father, Mile (Zlatan Vidovic), is ordered to be able to handle the transfer and disposal of corpses, with the only hope being the cryptic rumors of Dara’s survival in Jasenovac.
